We are willing to work with all of you to promote table tennis in the world, and these camps will be part of our international development plan.

Learning the skills of multi-ball in the Dominican Republic

Part of a new joint initiative between the International Table Tennis Federation and the Latin American Table Tennis Union, a successful ITTF/PTT Level One Course came to a conclusion in the Dominican Republic on Thursday 5th November 2009.

Organised under the auspices of the ITTF Development Programme, the course was led by El Salvador’s Carlos Esnard and is one of seven such course which will benefit table tennis in Latin America.

Seven such courses form the programme for Level One and a further three for Level Two.

Tehran, the country’s capital city is very much leading the way in Iran when the subject in question is promoting table tennis for women.

Vice President of the Tehran Table Tennis Board is the tireless, Sima Limoochi, a lady who is at the forefront of creating a new era for the sport of table tennis in Iran.

Tehran is the largest province in the country with a population of 15 millions and has a new management structure for table tennis which was put in place in December 2008.

The Pro Tour comeback on English soil was a highlight for the players, the fans and the whole sport.

About 13 months before the Volkswagen World Junior Table Tennis Championships will be staged in the Slovak capital city of Bratislava, the Cadets lead the way.At the 13th Slovak Cadet Open 2009 from 6th to 8th November, players from no less than 24 countries will gather in the table tennis hall of the Slovak association.

Argentina’s Leandro Olvech, the ITTF Co-ordinator of Development Programmes conducted a highly successful ITTF/PTT Level One Course from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd October 2009 in the Netherlands Antilles.

The course, held under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity and the ITTF Development Programme, lasted five days and was clearly enjoyed by all and has proved the source of motivation; most certainly the effects have been realised sooner than expected.

Subject to the approval of the delegates at the ITTF Annual General Meeting, to be held at the World Team Championships in Moscow from Sunday 23rd to Sunday 30th May 2010, Swaziland is set to become member 209 of the International Table Tennis Federation.

Sometimes referred to as Ngwane, Swaziliand is a landlocked country in southern Africa, bordered to the north, south, and west by South Africa and to the east by Mozambique.
