Situated in West Africa with an Atlantic coastline and therefore splendid beaches, Sierra Leone was the home for an ITTF/PTT Level One Coach Education course and Training Camp from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October 2009.

The course was organised under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity and the ITTF Development Programme.

Expert for the course was Egypt’s Mohamed Gharib.

Intensive
The schedule was intensive with two sessions being held each day; the first from 8.00am to 11.00am and the second from 2.30pm to 5.30pm whilst for the Training Camp the hours were 9.00am to 12.00 noon and 2.30pm to 6.00pm.

A total 20 men and eight women attended the ITTF/PTT Level One Coach Education whilst for the Training Camp there were 18 players representing a range of ages from cadets to seniors.

Presentations
Certificates were presented at the end of the course whilst for the Opening Ceremony to start proceedings both the Muslim and Christian religions were celebrated; prayers in both were held.
