Visa Application to Enter Hong Kong

11/13/2006
 IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT

The Hong Kong Table Tennis Association is now starting to process the visa applications for participation in the Volkswagen 2006 Pro Tour Grand Finals.
All players, officials and coaches who may be involved have to follow the procedure below for their visa application to enter Hong Kong.

Generally speaking, the parties listed below are required to obtain employment visa for the event under the law of the HKSAR, while the others are subject to their entry eligiblity :
-International Umpires
- Media(*)
- Players, Coaches & Officials
(*)The HKTTA will not be responsible for the visa applications for the media, in which the media has to ensure the valid visa for working in Hong Kong.

There is another form especially for those who have People's Republic of China nationality. They should contact the HKTTA directly for more details.

From previous experience, the participants either :
1) applied for the employment or entry visa in their country with the help of an invitation from the host organization OR
2) applied through the host organisation owing to the absence of embassy in their country.

Therefore, HKTTA would like to prepare the above options for relevant participants as well.

Browsing the webpage of the Pro Tour Grand Finals, there is an icon named "Invitation letter" under the sub-heading of "New Information"; where you can find the proforma for the request for the invitation letter for visa application.

Thus, once you receive the invitation letter from the host organisation, you could apply the employment visa in your own country.

For those who have no embassy in their countries, they can submit the employment visa form [ID(E)936] via the link of
