I am very happy and proud to announce that the ITTF has created a new section to its web-site for our Chinese friends. You will now find articles and Pro Tour activities in Chinese (Mandarin). On the main ITTF web site you will find a link within each article that will provide you with the Chinese version of that article. You will also find a main link (in the running ticker-tape or at the right side links on the front page), which will take you to the Chinese version of the web-site.
The new Chinese section of the web-site is just a beginning and eventually we will have a complete ITTF web-site in Chinese (Mandarin) for our many Chinese friends to enjoy.
Table Tennis is a national sport in China and millions follow it on TV every time a table tennis event is broadcast. We are proud to know that the table tennis event at the Olympic Games received the largest TV audience in China. This has stimulated the need to create a special web-site, within the ITTF's own web-site, for our Chinese fans.
I sincerely hope that our Chinese friends will enjoy this new initiative and that the Chinese section of our web-site will grow rapidly into a full-ledged ITTF Chinese web-site.
I would like to thank our ITTF-Asia Office in Shanghai for this initiative, under the guidance of its Director, Mr. Steve Dainton, as well as our IT specialist and web-master, Mr. Mohamed El-Shentenawy, from our Ottawa office, for implementing this new change.
