| Dear Sir,
I fully respect your opinion. Unfortunately, in sport, whenever a change is made it will always affect the older generation more and of course it will also affect the top players more. The young players adjust faster, and the lower ranked players see it as an opportunity to improve their standard. Our Federation is always thinking of "long term" improvements, so even if changes may have a short-term effect on some players and some teams, we must think of the positive long-term gains.
Thank you very much for your concerns.

______________________________________ Thanks for your responds. I appreciate that. Certainly, I will support our new generations- they are the future. However, I can't ignore the old generations that are still very competitive but greatly affected by the new rules. What my key point is ITTF should be responsible for coming up with the best rule of game, but not just simply making the game 'looking' vivid. The last but not the least, China plays strong in this game because Chinese players practise hard and China pays much attention to this sport. Rule of the game should not be adjusted to press the strongest country in this sport. Otherwise, it's unfair to the excellent players- whoever he/she is new or old. Anyway, again, it's my personal opinion and feelings. I just hope this sport could be well developed without damaging everyone's interest. ************************** Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message.
First you must understand that the Olympic Games rules are not ITTF rules. The Olympic rules restrict the number of players in singles from one country to 3 players only. This is the same in Badminton and tennis. In this case, China can only enter 3 players. This rule is the same for all countries and all individual sports at the Olympic Games.
China is very strong in table tennis and now some new players are stronger than Kong Linghui is. It seems like this is a problem of course inside China. But it's the same for all sports and for all countries.
Regarding the change of the rules by the ITTF, this was done to make the game more exciting. It was never done to harm China. In any case China is now still very strong with all the new rules.
In the final match in Doha, Qatar, between China and Germany at the World Team Championships, Ma Lin, Wang Liqin and Wang Hao represented China. They seem to be now the top three players in China and in the world.
Please do not feel sorry or bad for the older players, they all had excellent careers and many victories, you must now embrace the new younger generation. They also deserve your attention and your love. It is not fair to ignore the new top players from China in favour of the older generation. I hope you can also support your new team.

Dear Mr. Adham Sharara I am a common Chinese people who love table tennis sport and full of respect to ITTF. I realised ITTF tried to make this sport developing with great effort. However, I have some questions and concerns to ITTF. I just feel ITTF tries to make this sport developing by 'restricting a country' (maybe I am wrong, but it's my true feeling). I don't think it is fair to players, especially those in China. They did nothing wrong. They just play table tennis well. Why can't the excellent players participate in Olympics games? They are not less capable, but just lost the rules made by ITTF. Sport belongs to every people, sport serves people. It's no reason to make high-level players out of the highest level games. I have this kind feeling due to the some actions adopted by ITTF during the past several years. For example, the 11-score system- is it most reasonable system? Yes, it increases the uncertainty of games- this is the one side of the coin. The other side of the coin is that it damages the 'art' of table tennis. Every player becomes so cautious. The fantastic and smart tactic combinations that can be fully applied in 21-score disappeared. Players are so point-driven now! This kind of game is actually plain and boring. Each championship is produced with so much uncertainty. It's really unfair for those skilful players. Frankly speaking, personally I think, many fantastic Chinese players are ruined at their golden age by the series rules ITTF adopts, like Kong Ling hui, Liu Guoliang and etc. Many of great players like Kong linghui Li jv, Guo yue are blocked out of the important games by the rules ITTF set. I remembered that the badminton association ever tried 7-score. But when it finds it doesn't work well, it is so brave and decisive to change it back to 15-score. Is ITTF has such encourage? I don't mean you need change the 11-score back to 21-score, But, at least you should think some better ways, for example, 15-score? I am sorry to say those above. But they are what I must say. I just miss Guo yue, lijv, Kong linghui, Liu Guozheng (especially Kong linghui, he is the championship of last Olympic games and now still very competitive)....they are so great, but 'sacrificed' by the current rules of ITTF. It's my personal opinion, which does not stand for others. I will probably not watch the table tennis game in the upcoming Olympics game, which is not the highest level game because many talented players are not there. Best Regards, A fans of table tennis before.
