At the moment I am not aware of any proposal to ban long pimples. Of course I like very much defensive players because they bring a varied approach to our game and they are usually very spectacular. This was very obvious at these World Championships in Paris.
Regarding your question about the votes, in the case of changing the law on pimples it would need 75% of the votes at an AGM.

Sir, this is for your forum section. There has been a lot of noise lately about long pips being banned at the AGM 2004 session. I would think after a defensive long pip player made the finals of the world's, this talk would go away. You, in the past, have been very supportive of defensive players, complimenting several from Japan, if I remember correctly. Is there a proposal to ban long pips? If there is how many votes must it pass by? Long pips at the international level don't seem to be questioned, here in the State's 60% of the people want them banned. I however like the versatility they bring the game.
