ITTF MUSEUM: Mission and Charter




The ITTF Museum is founded with a mission to preserve and promote
the heritage of Table Tennis.

                         
ITTF MUSEUM CHARTER

This document defines the official charter for establishing the International Table Tennis
Federation (ITTF) Museum, located in Lausanne/Renens, Canton de Vaud, Switzerland.

The ITTF Museum is founded as a non-profit organization with the following goals:

o Preserve and exhibit a comprehensive history of Table Tennis

o Create a cultural attraction for the people of the Canton de Vaud, and interface
   with the local communities and schools for special Museum tours

o Honor the Olympic and World Champions of Table Tennis throughout history

o Promote the sport of Table Tennis and educate the public about the heritage of
   Table Tennis through Museum exhibits and published historical articles

o Cooperate with the Musee Olympique and other sports Federations within the Olympic community

o Develop an internet website to enable worldwide access to the Museum

o Create a portable, travelling museum exhibit for temporary expositions at the Olympic Games,
   World Championships and other major events

o Organize an Archive of historical documents, films and photographs and enable access for
   research and exhibition

o Acquire historical equipment, art, literature, cultural evidence and mementos relating
   to the heritage of Table Tennis for exhibit in the Museum

o Establish a donations program and help veteran players preserve their legacies
