New Website Feature: ITTF Merit Awards The ITTF Museum website now offers a new feature, a comprehensive list of all those who have been presented with the prestigious ITTF Merit Award, along with the year each was presented. A few years are missing, so I encourage our visitors to send us valid source information for documenting the correct years. The link is in the left yellow column of the Museum homepage, just above the word Publications. The ITTF Merit Award is granted to those who have rendered distinguished service to table tennis, either nationally or internationally. Nominations submitted by Associations are considered by a panel and proposed to the Executive Committee. The accepted candidates are presented with a medal on a suitable occasion. The first medals were presented at the BGM in Dortmund, 1989, starting with Mr. A.K. Vint (ENG), former ITTF Honorary General Secretary.
