Silver medallist in the Boys’ Singles event at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in August 2010, Chinese Taipei’s Hung Tzu-Hsiang went one step better at the Italian Junior and Cadet Open in Adriatic resort of Lignano on Sunday 11th March 2012.
The top seed, he justified the accolade to win his fifth Junior Boys’ Singles title on the ever growing ITTF Junior Circuit.

Runner up in partnership with compatriot Filip Zeljko in the Cadet Mixed Doubles event at the European Youth Championships in the Russian city of Kasan in 2011 was her one and only claim to international fame.
Never previously had she reached the latter stages of an ITTF Junior Circuit event but in Lignano on Sunday 11th March 2012, Croatia's Lea Rakovac hit form and wrote a new chapter in her biography.

The top four seeds in the Junior Boys’ Singles event at the Italian Junior and Cadet Open in Lignano, concluded the opening stage of proceedings in first place, in their respective groups on Saturday 10th March 2012.
Top seed, Chinese Taipei’s Hung Tzu-Hsiang enjoyed a trouble free day, as did Hungary’s Tamas Lakatos, the third seed and Egypt’s Omar Bedair, the fourth seed; none was extended the full five games distance.

Germany’s Yuko Imamura and Theresa Kraft, the top seeds in the Junior Girls’ Doubles event at the Italian Junior and Cadet Open in Lignano, duly booked their place in the final, following success on Saturday 10th March 2012.
They beat the French duo of Marie Migot and Audrey Zarif in five games in the semi-finals (14-12, 8-11, 11-9, 11-4, 12-10), having in the quarter-final stage been in most impressive form.

The clock moved slowly beyond 1.00am, as one of the hardest fought Junior Boys’ Team events in the history of the ITTF Junior Circuit came to a close.
Adam Szudi eventually overcame Kilian Ort in a titanic struggle to secure victory for Hungary over Germany in the early hours of Saturday 10th March 2012 at the Italian Junior and Cadet Open in Lignano.

Japan emerged as the surprise winners, Romania as the predicted champions; that was the end result in the respective Cadet Boys’ and Cadet Girls’ Team events at the Italian Junior and Cadet Open in Lignano on Friday 9th March 2012.
Represented by Masahi Hirota and Yuki Matsuyama; Japan, the no.8 seeds, upset the odds to capture the Cadet Boys’ Team event.
