Samuel Novota is the lucky winner of the Junior Circuit event in Chile. Three times the 17 year old Slovak looked like the loser, but he always saved his neck.
Once in the final, the right-hander found the perfect mix of aggressiveness and art. He overcame Spain’s Alvaro Robles in five games and proved to be able to make points from everywhere in the court and from every angle. |

Danilo Toma is mainly an unknown player in the world of table tennis. After Chile this will change. The 16 year old right-hander ousted Paraguay’s top seeded Marcelo Aguirre in four straight games.
After constantly strong performances during the event in Coquimbo, Toma has no-one to fear anymore. His semi-final opponent, Slovakia’s Samuel Novota, is a player exactly on his level; thus the fresher one might have an advantage. |
