Celebrated Names Secure Titles as European Veteran Championships Conclude

Russia’s Dimitrij Mazunov and Austria’s Ding Yi, alongside Croatia’s Branka Batinic, the most celebrated names on duty at the 2015 European Veteran Championships, emerged successful, as status predicted, on Saturday 4th July the closing day of proceedings in the Finnish city of Tampere.

Dimitrij Mazunov won the Men’s Singles Over 40 event beating Turkey’s Saim Polatkin in the final (11-2, 9-11, 11-4, 11-9); whilst Ding Yi secured the Men’s Singles Over 50 category. He accounted for Denmark’s Carsten Egeholt at the final hurdle (9-11, 11-1, 11-5, 11-9).
