Tunisian Mixed Fortunes but Second Places for Elias Ranefur and Ekaterina Guseva

The title as seeding predicted for Sweden’s Elias Ranefur in Tunisia, a surprise semi-final defeat for Russia’s Ekaterina Guseva but the eventual outcome is the same.

Both now occupy second place on the respective ITTF Junior Circuit Boys’ Standings and ITTF Junior Girls’ Standings issued by the International Table Tennis Federation on Monday 22nd September.

In Sidi Bou Said Elias Ranefur, the top seed, accounted for Youssef Abdel-Aziz in the final to claim the Junior Boys’ Singles title; after Ekaterina Guseva, likewise the top seed, had suffered a surprise semi-final defeat against Egy....
