Draw Method
Principles In qualification groups, players from the same associations will not be placed in the same group. However, in the main draw stage there will be no separation by association, the players will be drawn according to ranking.
Singles draw
Qualification stage 1. All entries will be placed in descending order according to the latest available ITTF Computer ranking. 2. Players will be divided into Round-Robin groups of three players per group. 3. Players will be drawn into the groups,
following the descending order of the ITTF Computer Ranking list, using the snake system for placing players
(highest ranked player in the first group, next highest ranked player in the
second group etc.). 4. Players from the same association can not be drawn into the same group; they should be placed into the next available group. 5. The ranking Chairman may assign a 'Temporary Ranking' to an unranked player for the purposes of the draw. This is in case that a player has a sufficient number of wins but not sufficient losses to obtain a computer ranking.
Main draw stage 1. Knock out system will be used. 2. The top 32 players will be seeded according to the latest ITTF Computer Ranking. 3. The draw will be conducted according to the ITTF rules for that purpose without separation per association. The draw will be made according to Ranking only. 4. When qualifiers are drawn into the main draw, players from the same association can not meet in the first round. They will be placed in the next available spot.
Under 21-tournamentPlaying system will be decided upon as soon as possible after the entry closing date.
Doubles draw
Qualification stage 1. Knock out system will be used. 2. Eight pairs will be seeded for the qualification event according to the ITTF Seeding list produced by the ITTF Ranking Chairman for that purpose. 3. Pairs from the same association will not be drawn against each other in the first round.
Main draw stage 1. Knock out system will be used. 2. Sixteen pairs will be seeded for the main event according to the ITTF Seeding List, produced by the ITTF Ranking Chairman for that purpose. 3. The draw will be conducted without separation by association. 4. A qualifying pair will not meet another pair from the same association in the first round proper.
