NIU CHALLENGES WANG

NIU Jianfeng (CHN) will be the
one to challenge compatriot and World Champion WANG Nan in the women’s
singles final at the Dawei Pro Tour Grand Finals.
NIU gave another compatriot LI
Jia a lesson in the semi final beating her 4-0 and giving her only 1 point
in the 4th game.
Only in the 3rd game
LI could follow NIU and she actually had opportunities to win the game.
She lost though 14-12 – and that was it. NIU goes to the final to face
WANG.
The World Champion overcame in
her semi final the 18 year old GUO Yan who won the Swedish Open and the
Croatian Open in 2001. Against WANG she had to accept that she still has
things to learn.
GUO Yan managed to win two games
but that was it. WANG won quite easily 4-1.
