| 400-30 Verbal Indiscretion in a Foreign Language |
- Player Behavior:
Player utters an inapposite word or phrase in a foreign language (foreign to the opponent or spectators) that is understood by the umpire or assistant umpire during or after a rally.
- Umpire action:
First time in a match: Immediate point penalty - Warning with display of Yellow card. Ask player in a calm voice to refrain from using inappropriate language.
Second and subsequent time in the same match: Point penalty - one/two points to opponent - with display of Red / Yellow cards. Ask player in a calm voice to refrain from using inappropriate language. Request the Referee.
