  • Service rule: 2.6.5 It is the responsibility of the player to serve so that the umpire or the assistant umpire can see that he complies with the requirements for a good service
  • Player action: This service is hidden from the umpire. If there is no assistant umpire on this match, the player must serve in order for the umpire to judge that he complies with the requirements for a good service.
  • Umpire action: On the first occurrence - without an assistant umpire - the umpire may warn the player to serve in a way that allows him to judge the requirements for a good service. Fault the serve on subsequent occurrences. Advise player that he must serve so that the umpire or the assistant umpire can see that he complies with the requirements for a good service.
