The audience is feeling the same pressure as Fan Zhendong is. The finals of the men’s singles at the final event of the 2016 table tennis season- the Seamaster Qatar 2016 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals is in progress and Ma Long leads two games to nil. The 19-year old Fan Zhendong is sweating profusely. He has won only once in last nine times they met. He needs to prove himself.

Trailing 0:2 in the tie and leveled 4:4 in the third game, Fan Zhendong serves to Ma Long, short to the backhand court. He gets a short push back on the center of the table and chops it long and aggressive back to Ma Long’s backhand. The surprised Ma Long manages to return it back to Fan Zhendong’s backhand, Fan grabs that opportunity to initiate the attack. After six backhand to backhand exchanges so quick that your heart starts pounding out of your chest, Fan Zhendong switches to Ma Long’s forehand court with such supersonic accelerated topspin that catches Ma Long off guard. The ball flies away as it touches Ma Long’s top edge of the racquet and Fan Zhendong wins the battle.

Although Fan Zhendong lost the match, but he won the point of the day four.
